Paws and Play Daycare Schedule
We recommend developing a consistent schedule for pups being put in daycare, as pups thrive off of structure and routine. This helps to keep them happy and healthy all around.
-
Enrolling in any of our daycare programs requires pup parents to commit to at least 3 days of pup’s attendance weekly for a minimum of 6 hours. Pups are not required to attend daycare on the same days each week. However, they must attend at least 3 days during the week.
-
Daycare pups need to be dropped off for care between the hours of 6 am and 9 am.
6 am - 9 am: Arrivals
-
Pups get checked in and placed in their playpens as they wait for all their friends to arrive. This helps us to keep all pups tamed as we focus on getting everyone in and settled safely.
-
All belongings will be placed in their cubby.
-
During arrivals, pups participate in their morning music class, listening to nature sounds.
-
Music class is quickly followed by story time, where the pups listen to one of our pack leaders read them a story. Just like babies, pups love to listen to the sound of their caretaker's voices.

9 am - 11 am: Morning Activities
-
Pups will have their breakfast unless their meal schedule says otherwise.
-
Followed by outside play in our neighborhood field, if the weather sees fit. If the weather is bad, pups will spend this time in the playroom. They will participate with their friends in ball fetching, chasing games, wrestling, tunnel running, and other activities.
11 am - 11:30 am: Individualized Play
-
Trust and relationship building is important to us. Pack leaders spend this time giving each pup individualized care with some cuddles, behind-the-ear scratches, belly rubs, and treats.
11:30 am - 12 pm: Mealtime
-
Pups will have their lunch unless their meal schedule says otherwise.
-
Followed by their 20-minute afternoon walk.
12 pm- 2 pm: Nap Time
-
Pups will have blankets or beds laid out with soft music and lights out. This time is important, and we prefer this time to be uninterrupted as pups will have had a very active morning and will need to relax and recharge.
2 pm - 4 pm: Afternoon Activities
-
Pups will wake with another 20-minute walk
-
Followed by a snack and some slower-paced activities for play. Afternoon activities are experienced at a slower pace, as pups may still be mentally tired from their morning activities.
4 pm - 4:30 pm: Individualized Play
-
Pups get another session of individualized care with one of our pack leaders including cuddles, behind-the-ear scratches, belly rubs, and treats.
4:30 pm - 7 pm: Dismissal
-
Pups have their dinner followed by a 20-minute walk, slow-paced play, and a tidy-up with some of our natural pet wipes and spritz as they wait for their guardians to arrive.
-
Pups have open play during this time to play in the playroom as they see fit under a pack leader's supervision.
